Adapter couples the 3" and 4" flex pipe at the chimney top in fireplace installations where the chimney height is between 16' and 24'. This part maintains the separation between incoming air and outgoing exhaust. The larger diameter exhaust pipe is necessary in taller chimneys to ensure sufficient draft. Our gas stoves are not recommended for fireplace installations with chimneys over 24' tall.
