9" Round Soapstone W/Copper Banded Griddle  Woodstock Soapstone has been producing these unique cooking griddles for years and sold them through our company showroom and older catalogs in the past but this is the first time we have offered them through our web store. We cut and polish a perfectly round piece of soapstone, combined with a locally made ring of copper and hand pound the copper band around the edges which includes 2 handles for easy pick up. After preheating, cooking on a soapstone griddle can produce some wonderful results. Pancakes are evenly browned, grilled cheese perfectly melted. It also saves you from constantly cleaning the actual soapstone surface of the stove. This 9" version will sit evenly on the top stones of the Fireview and Classic woodstoves and the Cottage gas stove. It can sit on the cast iron top framework of the Keystones, Palladians, and Fireside Franklin Gas Stove.The 9" griddle can also be used on conventional stove tops.
