You can vent your direct vent gas stove into an existing fireplace up to 24' tall. You will use an adapter on the back of the stove and two flexible pipes: one for the exhaust and one for the incoming combustion air. If you chimney is 16' tall or less, you will use two 3" flexible pipes. If your chimney is 16' to 24' tall, you will use one 3" flex pipe and one 4" flex pipe.
